RAQUEL & CHRISTOPHER / MATERNITY SESSION / BEAR MOUNTAIN STATE PARK, NY

I had such a wonderful time photographing Raquel and Christopher at Bear Mountain State Park a couple of weeks ago. This mama-to-be totally rocked her session even in freezing temperatures. The love these two have for each other and their unborn child is undeniable. Not only was Raquel glowing but you can see the excitement in Christopher's smile as well.

I will always admire mothers because they can withstand anything and show so much strength especially during pregnancy. I was thinking about this a lot while I was editing this session. I thought about how fitting it was that we were surrounded by nature during the shoot because I became aware of how strong mother nature is too. All of mother nature can withstand floods, rain, strong winds and snow. Trees will grow in places you would think impossible. They represent strength and growth. Their leaves change with every season.

Mothers go through a similar transition when they become pregnant and suddenly their bodies start changing to protect and grow a healthy baby. They will go through a lot of pain and change for their child.

This is why I took the last shot of this session. Raquel is standing tall amongst the trees that represent her strength and growth as a new mother. She is showing off her beautiful and strong curves that show how her body has changed to support her child.

I hope you enjoy the photos below. I am looking forward to meeting Valentina any day now and
